How I consistantly caught Bream in the local lake
I went fishing the other day with my good friend big Al. We fished a lake in Bradfield, Essex, England. We were aiming to catch some big carp but they were really not interested in any kind of bait that we had to offer them. Al said that there were some nice bream in the lake so we fished for them instead. The trick was to first attract them to where we were fishing on the edge of the lilly pads. We mixed up some homemade ground bait which consisted of pond pellets (which I feed my pond fish) some frozed sweet corn and 3 or 4 weetabix biscuits. We added the pond water to this mix and I mixed it by hand into a mush. Not too sloppy, just enough so that I could throw a small handful in at a time. We fished out about 20 feet so it was easy to be accurate when we underarmed the ground bait into the spot. We had a choice of hookbaits. They were small worms from the compost heap in the garden, sweetcorn and spam. The bream took about an hour to find the ground bait but when they did, we caught fish after fish. Each time Al or me landed a fish, I lobbed in a small handful of groundbait to keep the fish interested. Most of the fish were caught on the worms but spam and sweetcorn also did well. We fished until 4 pm and headed off home, very happy with the days fishing.

Contributor's Note
I had such a lovely time fishing this lake and keeping the bream interested. Just had to write it down somewhere.
